The European Diploma Supplement (EDS) is the document that grants community validity to the academic curriculum. It consists of an annex to the university degree detailing the subjects taken, languages taught, credits completed, competencies acquired, academic results, and professional qualifications of the graduate, master, or doctorate, including their full names and other reliable credentials across Europe. Royal Decree 1044/2003 regulates the issuance of the EDS.
The current regulations specify the minimum number of ECTS credits for enrollment per student and academic period. These rules allow students to pursue part-time studies and address issues derived from the existence of special educational needs.
